LETTERS FROM THE KITCHEN

Welcome to my little space on the world wide web. I'm the Grandma behind Grandma's Kitchen. I have 5 amazing grandbabies (with one more on the way) who I adore. The only thing better than being with my family is cooking in my kitchen. I cook from the heart and put love into everything I do.

The most asked question when people see me at the market and try the pepper jellies is " what else can I do with this?" Well here are just the top ten things you can do with your pepper jelly.
My favorite is the Pulled Pork Nachos with Pineapple Pepper Jelly. It is a meal in itself.

Check us out every Saturday at the Gilbert Farmers Market http://gilbertmarket.com/
Current market hours are 8am - 12pm

Grandma's Kitchen will be at the annual
Chandler Chuck Wagon Cook Off

Friday and Saturday, November 9 and 10, 2012
Tumbleweed Ranch at Tumbleweed Park
Free parking

This unique culinary competition combines the sounds, smells, and tastes of the Old West. Teams work from authentic 1880s chuck wagons to cook five courses: bread, beans, meat, potatoes, and dessert. Judges decide winners in each category, as well as best authentic wagon and best overall meal. The Chandler Chuckwagon Cook-off also features entertainment and activities that highlight history, cooking and local foods.
Main food competition is on November 10. Admission to the event is FREE, but chuck wagon meal tickets are $10. Make sure you're in line by 10 am for meal tickets, as supplies are limited and they sell out fast! Free parking during both days.
